partway uphill. it has russet bark protecting a pale yellow and white trunk. its trunk has shattered a couple metres up, leaving a hollow pipe with a very wide opening, which likely descends into the roots. one edge of the trunk rises up several metres over the hollow. knots and hollows are etched into its inner surface. epicormal growths, but no new branches.
