ormulum

hello and welcome to my website! this is where i collect all the things i make, plus lists of what i’m reading and looking at on the internet.

the ormulum is a twelfth century biblical exegesis created by someone who was named orm, or ormin. the work was written on low quality parchment, in a dense and untidy hand, filled with corrections and marginalia. it’s the archetypal kind of work i find myself making: incomplete, messy, but hopefully interesting. strange ruins.

22 february 2023 - been a while, but added a few new things to the reading list, empire of normality by robert chapman, the bull and the ballarina by johanna isaacson, and the great psychic outdoors by enrico monacelli, plus a couple essays. i’m trying to write summaries or notes on everything i’m reading this year, so it doesn’t all just disappear down the memory hole after i finish it.

31 january 2023 - lots of minor repairs, which haven’t warranted an update on their own. but i’ve added two pages to my images section, for my map tiles and tarot-cards. makes me want to draw more.

28 january 2023 - uploaded the spring remnant house, plus, finally taught myself how to use html templates with pandoc, and decided to totally refresh the website! still a work in progress but the spooky skeleton is there.
